moose007 Depands if the cat is seen through a mirror. If so it is virtual. If not it is a vampire. Therefore it is undead so to answer dizzy question of is it alive or dead the answer is both.
Nurta I'm insulted!
saab900 Wow, I really thought Nurta pulled that out of his ass. Thanks dizzy!
Dizzy Hi gow!

Yeah, that would make sense
Gow The Cat is the subject of the same named Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson.

Dizzy ** This thread discusses the Content article: A little about Schrödinger's Cat **

If you've been around these parts before, you may have seen Nurta talk about Schrödinger's cat. If you're like me, you had no idea what was so special about any cat, much less Schrödinger's. Evidently, Nurta wasn't just pulling stuff out of his ass and in fact put me and all other informed people to shame.

Schrödinger's Cat is real...

Or is it?

Well, technically Schrödinger's cat is always real, the question is is it alive or dead? Possibly both?

I guess it all depends on which universe you're in. You see, Schrödinger was one of the believers that at every decision, the universe splits into seperate universes where the reponse is different. In this theory, there's literally be an infinite amount of universes.

Until the object is observed, there is a mixture of states. "Schrödinger's famous thought experiment poses the question: when does a quantum system stop existing as a mixture of states and become one or the other?" By stepping up the ante by using a concious being, this created yet another question: Can the cat serve as the observer or must the observer be external (sometimes impossible in a closed situation)?

Even Einstein was impressed with Schrödinger's experiment, for it truely pushed the limits of quantum mechanics. It perplexes even today, and many theories can be found here.

Hope you enjoyed this physics lesson. Keep in mind I just learned of this wild animal but a few days ago so I myself might not be entirely accurate. Astonishing, I know.
