In Portal, flinging is possible due to the property of Portals such that "speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out." In the game, GlaDos explains that momentum is conserved. However, those who remember Physics 101 know that Momentum equals mass times velocity. This makes momentum into what is known as a vector. But in the game, the direction will change depending on the Portal's position. So is momentum really conserved?

If you've been around these parts before, you may have seen Nurta talk about Schrödinger's cat. If you're like me, you had no idea what was so special about any cat, much less Schrödinger's. Evidently, Nurta wasn't just pulling stuff out of his ass and in fact put me and all other informed people to shame.

Disclaimer: Most all of this is going to be my own ramblings with little to no facts backing anything up. Still, some of it makes sense and I feel inclined to make it public, even though I'm pulling it out of my ass. Saturday night my friends and I gathered to watch Donnie Darko. For those who haven't seen the movie, it's one of the strangest/demented on record, but a very good one nonetheless.

At the center of the plot revolves the subject of Time Travel. Donnie can supposedly see into an altered future for short stints before returning to reality. In the end, he accomplishes the travel and dies.

So this got me thinking... is time travel possible?
